1995 - A Year of Milestones

• Rick turned 50,

  got a new car and learned to play the piano celebrating with a great "recital" and party

• Christopher turned 25

  and followed his Internet passion to California where he is on the staff of HotWired. His other Web site (and real passion), recieved major media attention and lots of "hits" (650,000+ daily);

• Lara turned 21

  and spent the summer preparing for and taking the medical school admission test, she's now completing her senior year at Carleton College and planning several future strategies;

• Jane, Rick's mother, passed away

  peacefully from this earth in April, two months short of her 86th birthday and a few months after her twin sister;

• Herb, Rick's nephew, got married

  in July and brought the family together for a happy occasion.

The beachfront condo has provided daily shelter for Jo Anne and lots of good weekend time for Rick, with visits from Chris, Lara , the Heywoods and several friends. Space shuttle launches and the nesting giant sea turtles have provided a refreshing contrast to the continuing urban pleasures of Chicago.

Life in a start-up doesn't leave much room for vacations, but October 1995 found both Rick and Jo Anne TOGETHER in Switzerland for five great days following a major trade show.

As the year winds down, we will all be together in California for Christmas and off to Florida, California and Minnesota for New Years, but never more than a phone call or email message away from one another or you our friends around the country!
